There will be a multi billion project in Desaru. The project will be undertaken by Khazanah’s wholly-owned subsidiary Desaru Development Corp Sdn Bhd (DDC) which it acquired in 2010, inclusive of the latter’s 1,618ha. In the pipeline for the development is the building of two international class hotels to be managed by two of the world’s renowned hotel management companies and a world-class golf course.

There will also be a theme park incorporating tropical, eco-adventure and water features and a convention centre to cater to the meeting, incentive, convention  and exhibition segment

JB City To Have a Super TWIN TOWER [3 Photos]

Johor Bahru, 30 Sept’11;

A high-rise building similar to the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur is being planned for the JB city.

Last year, September, Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said the proposed building was "something like the Petronas Twin Towers but not quite like it" and was likely to be located near the Johor Baru Central Complex.

"This towering high-rise, which is likely to be the new landmark of Johor Bahru, will offer a view of not only this city but also Singapore.”

The proposed site for the project is where the Bukit Cagar and Lumba Kuda flats used to stand before they were demolished to make way for the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex at the Sultan Iskandar Building
